Washington, D.C. — On Friday, September 24, at 11:30 a.m. ET, three leading Democratic pollsters—Jefrey Pollock of Global Strategy Group, Molly Murphy of ALG Research, and Margie Omero of GBAO—will join a press call hosted by the Center for American Progress Action Fund to outline how passing President Joe Biden’s Build Back Better agenda is crucial for Democrats’ electoral success in 2022 and beyond.
Recent polling from Navigator Research shows that both the reconciliation package and the bipartisan infrastructure framework that comprise President Biden’s Build Back Better plan are extremely popular with voters. For instance, 7 in 10 voters, including a majority of independents and a plurality of Republicans, support the package that includes elements such as paid family and medical leave, universal preschool, tax breaks for clean energy, provisions to lower the cost of health care and prescription drugs, and more. Meanwhile, the bipartisan infrastructure framework enjoys similarly strong support, with nearly 2 in 3 Americans in favor of the plan, which would improve roads and bridges, expand power infrastructure, increase passenger and rail access, expand broadband access, and improve water infrastructure, among other provisions.
