Truman National Security Project members and other veterans to release letter signed by 175+ veterans demanding that the president “honor our promise”
Washington, D.C. – Coming off the heels of President Donald Trump’s immigration executive order barring refugees and others entry into the United States from seven predominantly Muslim countries, the Center for American Progress Action Fund and the Truman National Security Project will host a press call with military veterans, former diplomats, and refugee policy experts to discuss President Donald Trump’s immigration order and its impacts on refugees and interpreters who serve on the frontlines with American troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Truman National Security Project will also release a letter signed by many of its members and a growing list of other Army, Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard veterans. The letter, addressed to President Trump, urges the president to honor America’s promise and rescind the immigration order.
