President-elect Donald Trump continues rigging the system with nominees that would put in place policies that hurt working families.
CAP Action’s Winnie Stachelberg to join Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA), the AFL-CIO, and ROC United to call on Andrew Puzder to release documents showing how CKE Restaurants treats its workers.
Washington, D.C. — Today, Center for American Progress Action Fund Executive Vice President for External Affairs Winnie Stachelberg will join Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA), and representatives from the AFL-CIO and Restaurant Opportunities Centers United, or ROC United, for a press call to address President-elect Donald Trump’s selection of Andrew Puzder to serve as U.S. secretary of labor.
Puzder’s record of squeezing workers as the CEO of CKE Restaurants, and his steady opposition to critically needed worker protections—such as increasing the minimum wage and expanding overtime pay—raise serious questions about his ability to head the U.S. Department of Labor. Speakers will call on Puzder to release documents showing how CKE restaurants treats its workers.
