Washington, D.C. — In the face of unprecedented attacks on U.S. democracy, the Center for American Progress Action Fund is launching a new seven-figure television advertising campaign to call on the Republican Party to reject MAGA extremism. The inaugural 60-second spot will air on cable in Washington, D.C., and sounds the alarm on the MAGA Republican agenda to undermine U.S. elections, ban abortion nationwide, and end bedrock programs such as Social Security—and the movement’s willingness to incite political violence against anyone who disagrees with them. This searing advertisement makes it crystal clear: MAGA Republicans have taken over the Republican Party and must be rejected by GOP leaders.
