RELEASE: New CAP Action Video Compares Rep. Ryan’s Budget to a Rigged Game Show
Washington, D.C. — For the fourth consecutive year, House Budget Committee Chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) has released a budget that contains the same tested and failed top-down policies that benefit the wealthiest individuals and corporate interests at the expense of middle- and working-class families. The House Republican budget proposes dismantling traditional Medicare and slashing investments that drive our economy, all while cutting taxes for the rich and protecting taxpayer subsidies for big businesses and oil companies.
Today, the Center for American Progress Action Fund released a new video that takes a look at the winners and losers affected by this year’s Ryan budget. The video parodies the fact that that Rep. Ryan’s 2015 fiscal budget might as well have been a game show rigged in favor of the wealthiest and least vulnerable in the country.
