House Democrats’ new generation of leaders reflect the best of America’s boldness and ingenuity. With Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) at the helm, this brilliant team has a proven record of innovation and consensus building to deliver on the highest national priorities while standing against forces of extremism. Together, they can be trusted to tackle economic disparities, to build on access to quality schools and health care, and to protect our most fundamental rights.
The Democratic caucus’s broad trust in Leader Jeffries stands in stark contrast to a House Republican caucus rife with division. Rather than being guided by our commonly held values, House Republican leaders are putting their own ultimate quest for power first by catering to a dangerous MAGA agenda. As we saw in the midterms, the American people reject this kind of craven, power-at-all-costs politics. While House Republicans wallow in the mud of the MAGA movement, Democrats will be resolute and principled in delivering solutions for all Americans.
