For Trump and Russia, Ask and Ye Shall Receive.

On July 27, 2016, Donald Trump gave a press conference and explicitly asked a foreign adversary to hack his opponent, saying ‘Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing.’

We now know that they were listening and that night attempted, for the first time, to hack email accounts in Hillary Clinton’s personal office.

Trump asked a hostile foreign power to interfere into a U.S. presidential election in order to help delegitimize his opponent. Now he’s headed for a summit with that adversary where he’ll reportedly be meeting one-on-one, with no aides, with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

There’s no question: Trump should cancel his one-on-one meeting with Putin and use the time to meet with Special Counsel Robert Mueller instead, answering every question he has.

Collusion was out in the open all along, and this trip is clearly meant to reward Putin’s behavior with the hope he will help again in the midterms that are just months away.

TRUMP’S CULTURE OF CORRUPTION IS MAKING PEOPLE SICK.

Peggy Price is a former Marine Corps Sergeant. She served her country…and all the while, her country was making her family sick.

Price was stationed at North Carolina’s Camp Lejeune from 1983 to 1984 while in the Marines. Little did she know that while stationed there, Price was “eating, bathing in, and drinking some of the most contaminated water in U.S. history.”

Earlier this year, Scott Pruitt—whom we hope is truly enjoying unemployment—and the White House tried to block an EPA study exposing large-scale contamination of water sources by chemicals associated with cancer and other major health issues, all because they were worried about the public relations backlash.

That kind of corruption didn’t sit well with Peggy Price. That’s why she visited Capitol Hill this week to speak out against the Trump Administration’s attacks on our clean water.

Price herself has suffered from a wide range of medical issues, including a brain tumor, skin cancer, and open heart surgery. When her son was 13, he was diagnosed with an adult form of cancer. Price’s three other children have also suffered lifelong battles with severe diseases and mental health disorders, which can develop from the predominant chemicals found at Camp Lejeune.

The Trump Administration is hell-bent on ensuring its corporate donors keep writing fat checks—all at the expense of the American people. Trump’s #CultureOfCorruption is, quite literally, oozing into the drinking water.

And while the special security trips for luxury hand lotion may stop with Pruitt’s resignation, but you can expect this real damage to continue under his replacement.

BIG PROGRESSIVE IDEA: A $10,000 RAISE FOR TEACHERS

In the past months, we’ve seen teachers in states across the nation rallying and striking for better pay and benefits.

Teachers in the U.S. “earn just less than 60 percent of the average salary of other individuals in the United States with comparable educational backgrounds,” despite the vital nature of their work.

The Center for American Progress has an idea for how to change that: a $10,000 federal Teacher Tax Credit.
