“We want to terminate health care”
In the middle of a public health crisis that has killed more than 85,000 Americans, Trump is still trying to rip away our health care.
Last week, Trump admitted that he wants to “terminate health care” under the Affordable Care Act. If he succeeds, an estimated 20 million Americans would lose coverage and 135 million people with preexisting conditions will lose critical protections.
If the Trump-backed ACA repeal lawsuit succeeds in the Supreme Court months from now, tens of millions who have lost their jobs as a result of coronavirus will have no place to turn for health coverage.
Trump’s chaotic coronavirus response is already costing lives and straining families’ finances. His cruel determination to repeal the Affordable Care Act will hurt even more.
