Trump’s tweets reveal his priorities
“Trump.” “Fake news.” “Alabama.” Those are some of the words that Trump has tweeted most over the last couple of weeks.
Not “gun violence,” even though people continue to be slaughtered.
Not “climate change,” even though it’s the greatest threat facing our planet.
Not “prescription drugs,” despite the millions of Americans who struggle to afford life-saving medications, even as drug company profits soar.
As working families suffer, as his trade war costs us 300,000 jobs, and as communities are ravaged by gun violence, Trump just keeps on ranting on Twitter. At tonight’s Democratic debate, progressive leaders will lay out actual plans to help improve Americans’ lives. What a novel idea!

Trump wants to make it legal to enable discriminations under the guise of religious freedom (again)
Trump’s Department of Labor launched another attack on workers with a rule to gut protections to prevent employment discrimination in federal contracting.
What does this mean? Trump wants to make it legal for federal contractors to use religious belief as an excuse to discriminate against workers just because of who they are.
Trump’s new rule would allow employers to discriminate against pretty much anyone—pregnant women, employees of a different religion, someone who marries their same-gender partner—under the guise of religious belief. It could even allow for-profit companies to take taxpayer dollars and engage in discriminatory behavior, all while the Trump Administration turns a blind eye.
