People will die if Trump repeals the ACA

It’s another day in Trump’s America—and another day to stand up for what’s right. Get the facts to fight back.

If someone you love has had breast cancer, their coverage is at risk

More than 245,000 cases of breast cancer are diagnosed every year in the United States, and the Affordable Care Act is the reason that many of those cases are diagnosed early enough to treat. Now, a Trump-backed lawsuit is seeking to repeal the ACA and strip away that critical coverage.

Trump promised every American “great” health care, and he’s promised time and again to protect people with preexisting conditions. His administration has instead done everything it can to repeal the ACA.

That’s exactly what the lawsuit that Trump and many state Republican officials are backing would do. For Kimberly Dickens, a breast cancer survivor from North Carolina, the Trump administration’s ACA sabotage is devastating.

No one should die because they can’t afford their insulin

Another one of Trump’s broken promises around health care? Lowering prescription drug costs.

The price of insulin has tripled in the last ten years, and one in four insulin-dependent diabetics admit to rationing insulin because of outrageously high costs.

Rather than keep his promise to lower drug prices, Trump chose a former pharmaceutical executive who supervised a 300% increase in the cost of insulin as his administration’s HHS secretary. Then, his administration gave a massive tax cut to pharmaceutical companies.

Meanwhile, people are dying because they can’t afford their medications. Jazmine Baldwin’s sister, Jada, tragically passed away because of the fatally high cost of insulin. That’s tragic—and the Trump administration’s inaction is essentially guaranteeing that this tragedy will happen again and again.
