It's another day in Trump's America—and another day to stand up for what's right. Get the facts to fight back.

You’ve probably heard the name Steve King thrown around the past few days.

That’s because the GOP’s most racist congressman, Steve King (IA-04), is hemorrhaging financial support and backers on account of his being an unapologetic racist.

King has long since abandoned actually representing his constituents to become a sort of international ambassador for white nationalism, a mouthpiece for the pervasive, disgusting ideology rearing its head under a sympathetic Trump presidency. He retweets Nazi rhetoric. He endorsed a white-supremacist candidate in the Toronto mayoral race.

King has certainly earned the mantle of most racist GOP congressman—and that’s a high bar.

King’s most recent behavior was finally condemned by the head of the National Republican Congressional Committee, but (of course) not by President Trump or the other leaders of the Republican Party. And in the days following the horrific Pittsburgh synagogue shooting, King lost the financial support of three major corporations: Land O’ Lakes, Purina, and Intel.

King himself is—in true Trumpian fashion—blaming fake news for the “attacks” against his blatant racism, but new polling shows King leading his Democratic opponent by just one point in a district President Trump won by 24 points in 2016.

Real American values are fighting back against ugly, fraudulent nationalism.

THE TOP 5 PRE-EX LIARS.

We all know that the ultimate Republican dream is to end the ACA. So, why do Republicans think Americans will fall for their lies now?

Meet the top five pre-ex liars of the 2018 midterms:

  • President Trump continued the GOP’s midterm strategy of lies with a tweet claiming that Republicans will protect people with pre-existing conditions far better than their Democratic opponents. What?
  • Rep. Martha McSally (R, AZ-02), Arizona Senate candidate, claims she led the fight to “force insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions.” Fact check: McSally voted twice to repeal the ACA and rip away those protections, at one point telling her GOP colleagues to get this “f***ing thing” done.
  • Rep. Dana Rohrabacher (R, CA-48) expounds on his commitment to protect pre-existing conditions. Meanwhile, he voted 9 times to fully repeal the ACA and overturn pre-existing conditions protections.
  • Missouri AG and GOP Senate Candidate, Josh Hawley, is going full-on pre-ex hero is his ads. FACT CHECK: Hawley is currently a plaintiff in a lawsuit that would repeal Obamacare and strip away pre-ex protections.

Let’s keep one thing straight heading into election day: House Republicans voted to fully repeal the ACA and gut pre-existing conditions coverage at least 9 times since 2011.

They’re now trying to claim otherwise. Don’t let them fool you.
