Mueller’s testimony was damning for Trump and McConnell

As many reporters obsess over style points and who was flashiest (or not) during yesterday’s Mueller hearings, the sharp warnings Mueller gave deserve far more attention.

During his testimony before the House Intelligence Committee yesterday afternoon, Mueller spoke of the continued Russian attack on our democracy and Trump’s complicity in that attack.

Let’s repeat: we are under attack, and the president of the United States is encouraging it—enthusiastically. Mueller could not have made this point any more clearly. He urged Congress to take action, but let’s be clear: Senator Mitch McConnell and his Republican caucus are the ones standing in the way of securing our elections.
