Matthew Gossage is the events video producer at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, he has been an independent documentary and video producer for more than two decades, working for nonprofits, advocacy campaigns, businesses, and advertising agencies. After years of selling theme parks, soft drinks, and cleaning products as an advertising agency producer, he transitioned to documentary and political advocacy videos more than 15 years ago and has never been happier. Gossage earned a bachelor’s degree in film and video from Columbia College Chicago. Telling stories with pictures and sounds is his favorite thing to do, though he also loves to get away from screens to bike, travel, do triathlons, read and study Spanish and Hebrew, and—often simultaneously—play with and stop fights between his two kids.
