Andrew Schwartz is a policy analyst of Economic Policy, specializing in spatial data analysis. His interests include social and economic policy and urban issues. Schwartz is a former graduate intern at American Progress. He has previously worked at the National Center for Freight and Infrastructure Research and Education and the Wisconsin State Legislature.
Schwartz holds a master’s degree from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, as well as a graduate certificate in geographic information systems and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural and applied economics, both from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. As a native Wisconsinite and converted Texan, he is proud to hold a degree from each state’s public flagship university.
