Abigail Bard is the Asia policy analyst for National Security and International Policy at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, she spent two years in South Korea as a Fulbright English teaching assistant. While in graduate school, she spent time on the Korea desk in the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Policy. Bard graduated with a degree in linguistics from Dartmouth College and a master’s in Asian studies from the Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University. She speaks Japanese and Korean.
