Areeba Haider is a research associate for the Poverty to Prosperity Program. Prior to joining American Progress, Haider interned with the Senate Subcommittee on Federal Spending Oversight and Emergency Management, where she worked on topics such as the National Flood Insurance Program and ethics waivers violations. Haider also worked on the Obama Foundation’s programs team, where she assisted with civic engagement programming and the inaugural Obama Foundation Summit. She graduated from the University of Michigan in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree from the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and a minor in writing.
