Kaitlin Holmes is a research assistant for the Women’s Initiative at American Progress. She was formerly an intern with the Women’s Initiative through the Michigan in Washington program run by the University of Michigan. Prior to interning at American Progress, Holmes was a fellow and a women’s issue lead at Organizing for Action. She also interned at the Michigan Poverty Law Program, served as outreach director for Students for Choice at the University of Michigan, and volunteered at Planned Parenthood Advocates of Michigan.

Holmes graduated with a B.A. in political science and Spanish from the University of Michigan. She also studied abroad in Granada, Spain.
