Eliza Schultz is a research associate for the Poverty to Prosperity Program at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Schultz assisted sociologist Kathryn Edin on a study of extreme poverty in Baltimore, interned at an anti-violence organization, and interned in the administration of then-New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. A Brooklyn, New York, native, Schultz is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University, where she studied social sciences and conducted research on gender issues and work-family balance in academia.
