Avery Siciliano is the research associate for Ocean Policy at American Progress, where she works on domestic and international marine affairs with a focus on sustainable fisheries management and coastal land use practices. Prior to joining American Progress, Siciliano worked at Oceana and focused on efforts to deter seafood fraud and illegal fishing in the United States. Siciliano earned a master’s degree in environmental management from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment in 2015 and holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from Vassar College.
