Morgan Spivey is the executive coordinator to the Executive team at American Progress. Prior to joining American Progress, Spivey worked as an AmeriCorps fellow with the College Advising Corps and interned for Rep. Alma S. Adams (D-NC). Spivey graduated from Davidson College, where she studied Africana studies and political science. Her undergraduate capstone projects focused on the politics of Black womanhood, racialized education systems, and debunking the perceptions of post-racialism in the United States today. Spivey is a proud native of Trenton, New Jersey, and a living example of #BlackGirlMagic.
