Kacey Clayton is the campaign manager for the State-Federal Climate Initiative within the Energy and Environment department at American Progress. Before joining American Progress, she received her Master of Arts from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, focusing on the development of equitable, science-based policy. She has prior experience in science communication and science policy, working for COMPASS on their policy team in Washington, D.C. She also holds a bachelor’s in marine biology from the College of Charleston.
