Jason Fernandes is the communications and advocacy associate for the Poverty to Prosperity Program at American Progress. Previously, he oversaw communications and operations at Pagevamp, a tech startup in New York City. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in cognitive science. At Penn, he led the Social Planning and Events Committee, the event-planning arm of student government. He also danced in a Latin dance troupe and was an active member of Student Labor Action Project, a student-run social justice organizing collective.
